Grown by indigenous farmers in Bocas del Toro, Panama, this rare Criollo–Trinitario hybrid is hand-harvested, sun-dried, and shared with deep reverence for nature, tradition, and flavor.
Each piece of cacao reflects the earth it comes from, the people it sustains, and the timeless richness it brings to every cup and creation.

OUR STORY
Real Cacao is a cross-cultural family business founded by Carlos Vas (Panama) and Elina Vas (Latvia).
We specialize in sourcing high-quality cacao beans from Bocas del Toro — a vibrant Caribbean region in northeastern Panama, known for its rich biodiversity and ideal growing conditions.
For over a decade, we have been on a journey of seeking connection — to nature, to ourselves, and to each other. This path led us to the lush rainforests of Bocas del Toro, where we met indigenous and local smallholder farmers cultivating cacao, the sacred “brown gold.” Their cacao is grown in small-scale agroforestry systems interwoven with plátano and papaya trees, and everything is grown and harvested by hand using only organic fertilizers.
Our mission is to bring this exceptional, fine-quality cacao to Europe — supplying chocolate lovers and producers with real, fine-flavor cacao blocks or shredded cacao that meets the highest standards of quality.
